Museums can see which exhibitions truly resonate and how experiences linger over time. Unlike generic attendance data, this lens links feeling to behaviour, helping institutions refine curation, visitor engagement, and communication strategies. It's a living feedback loop between art and audience — turning emotional response into strategy.

Echo Room's standard dashboard covers the core metrics: echo retention scores, immediate effect distribution, participation cascade rates, belonging scores, audience polarisation, and the relationship between prior knowledge and long-term resonance, updated in real time.

*Illustrative data — hypotheses to be tested
Museum access to Echo Room insights is priced by annual logs (the number of visitors who log and complete their echo check). More logs mean richer data and deeper insight. Tier details will be published as the dataset develops.
Museums that want to go further can work with the Echo Room research team to define additional data dimensions specific to their programming context — a particular exhibition type, a specific visitor demographic, a curatorial hypothesis they want to test empirically. Those custom dimensions are built into the instrument for the relevant exhibition period, generating data that speaks directly to the questions the institution is actually asking.
Echo Room is looking for a small group of pioneering institutions to help build something that has never existed: an empirical dataset on what museum visits do to people over time. First of its kind. Built from the ground up. With the institutions that believed in it before the data existed.
Founding museums shape the research from the ground up and receive permanent free access to their museum's dashboard in return. There are two tiers to founding partnership. Core founders receive permanent free access to Echo Room's standard insights dashboard and sector benchmarking. Premium founders receive everything in Core, plus a custom dashboard that answers your institution's specific programming questions.

Once the founding cohort is complete, the founding partner programme closes permanently. The museums in that cohort will be named as founders in every publication, report, and research output Echo Room produces. Do you want your museum to be amongst the founding museums, get in touch here:
Participant data is collected under informed consent and in compliance with GDPR and equivalent international data protection standards. Everything reported to museums and research partners is anonymised and aggregated — no individual visitor is ever identifiable. We don't sell data. We don't share it with third parties. We don't use it to target users.
Museums receive insights about their own audiences benchmarked against sector averages — nothing more, nothing less. They do not receive data about other museums.
